Sadly, the e63 s wagon sold. To make up for this I am reviewing the tesla roadster that I rode in in recently and got to experience. Sorry about my mistake. The roadster review will be up later today.

While I appreciate the apologies, I feel worse for you! I learned how to drive in an E320 Wagon, and I grew to love it. I can only imagine how great the E63 is.

I drove a Model S P85 a few weeks back. I’ve never driven anything with even half that much power, and I’ve been driving for 35 years.

Traction Control: Off.

Burning Rubber Smell: Check.

Power To Screw Up?: Sufficient

#Awesome?: Yes

Want?: Definitely, even though there are enough seats in the roadster for me and all of my friends...

The P85 is so unfair. There just isn’t anything in the gasoline world that combines supercar speed with 2x prius level efficiency + enough interior space for 7 humans.

There are a lot of cars I would buy for $100k. But there aren’t any others at that bracket that have the same value/dollar ratio as the P85 for me.

I honestly don’t know what my friend paid for his, though I do know it was north of $100k. I also know that he had no clue as to the existence of Traction Control Off command. ;o) I don’t have any experience or skills to be able to try doing a drift, so all I managed was to get it sideways a few times.

What was cool was when I asked him if he’d take me for a ride in the car, his reply was that he would be happy to, under the condition that I agreed to be the driver.

I’m liberal enough to be a big fan of Elon Musk and his environmental agenda and it’s not like Elon is asking us to drive around in a Trabant with a trunk load of lead-acid batteries.

I’ve been driving for 35 years and I’ve never owned a new car, but when the affordable Tesla ever hits the market, I’ll be looking. I bought $800 of Tesla Motors stock at their IPO and I think it’s worth close to $6,000 now. Maybe I’ll use it as a down payment when I buy mine some day.
